Bring the whole family to Hills Creek State Park and learn how pure maple syrup is processed from the tree to your table. The Maple Open House will be held in conjunction with the Potter/Tioga Maple Producers 10th Annual Maple Weekend. Taste our finished product, and find out how you can ‘tap’ into the resource in your own backyard. Arrive anytime between 10am and 4pm. Plan to enjoy about an hour with us in order to experience what each station has to offer. You will learn how to identify maple trees, how to tap trees and collect sap, the history of maple syrup making, and how the finished product is made. This event is free. Large groups should contact the park to schedule specific tour times.
