DCNR hopes to connect you to the outside world through guided recreation outings, educational programs, workshops, volunteer opportunities, and more. This calendar will provide you with quick and easy access to the latest events and activities offered in state parks, forests and communities. Be sure to check back often for the most recent events.
Come out and help us celebrate the traditions of autumn. From 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., be sure to check out traditional activities such as Apple Cidering, Candle Dipping, Pioneer Games, and more. Visit various vendors and the concession stand. The costume parade will begin at 4:00 p.m., and following will be trick-or-treat in the campground and cabin area- please visit only sites with a trick-or-treat tag. At the end of the afternoon, there will be pumpkin carving (a very limited number of pumpkins will be available for a donation to the Friends of Parker Dam organization or bring your own) and at 6:30 p.m. our Beach Bonfire will begin (bring along a lawn chair). There will also be the Pumpkin Float at 7:00 p.m., when we set the lighted jack-o-lanterns adrift on the lake and tales told around the fire. So bring the entire family along and enjoy a whole day and evening's worth of fun fall activities at the park.
