DCNR hopes to connect you to the outside world through guided recreation outings, educational programs, workshops, volunteer opportunities, and more. This calendar will provide you with quick and easy access to the latest events and activities offered in state parks, forests and communities. Be sure to check back often for the most recent events.
This tour will travel around Pymatuning and other state parks which are Important Bird Areas in search of migratory songbirds, waterfowl and raptors. It is highly recommended that cabins be reserved for this unique program of birding, nature photography and wineries. The areas around the wineries provide habitat for the migrating birds. Transportation and some meals are provided. Reservations are required and are limited. This program is designed for adults. Please contact Pymatuning Park Office to register for the program 724/932-3142. Cabins sleep 6-8 so this is a great opportunity to gather a group of birding friends and share the costs. Cabin reservations can be made: 888 – 727-2757. Registration deadline is April 10, 2013. Cost; $65.00 person; $120:00 couple for program. Cabin rental is seperate.
