Jennings Environmental Education Center 2951 Prospect Rd.
Pittsburgh and its Countryside
Join Jennings Environmental Education Center to kayak the creek - the Slippery Rock Creek, that is! Enjoy this short float on one of the most beautiful, relatively calm sections of the stream, and take in the sights and sounds of the Slippery Rock while honing your moving water paddling skills. Cost of the program is $15 per person, and registration and payment are required by June 6. This paddle is meant for adult participants and children age 12 and over. All should have at least some flatwater kayaking experience. Moving water skills will be discussed and practiced. This is NOT a whitewater program. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. All equipment is provided, including kayaks. Participants may choose to bring their own life jacket and other accessories, however participants may NOT bring their own kayak due to shuttling and parking constraints. Further information on meeting location, gear to bring/not bring, etc. will be provided upon registration.
Thank you for your interest in this program. Registration is now closed. Please contact us at 724-794-6011 to inquire about late registration and waiting lists.
